WMS Gaming, originally starting as a pinball cabinet manufacturer in 1974, evolved into one of the industry's most innovative casino game developers. They introduced the first slot ever to have a second screen bonus round in 1996 with 'Reel 'em In.'
Their Monopoly-themed slots marked the beginning of licensed games, followed by other successful titles like Star Trek and The Lord of the Rings. They would soon put the pedal to the metal and feature even more recognizable names for the new casino sites they partner with.
Part of Scientific Games (aka L&W) since 2013, WMS has a rich portfolio featuring both land-based and online slots, including branded hits like Monopoly, The Wizard of Oz, and various James Bond titles.
The company had embraced online gaming all the way back in 2010 and, by 2012, began to shift from their usual land-based titles to the online iGaming sphere. Soon afterwards, their games would come with features such as:
- Stacked Wilds;
- Expanding Wilds;
- Colossal Reels;
- Win Multipliers;
- Free Spins.
The Monopoly Big Money Reel slot comes with many of these features, including a luxurious lifestyle full of high-end roadsters and diamond-studded jewelry on the reels. You also have an RTP of 95.95%, medium volatility, 20 paylines, and up to 200x wins.
Another title that caught my attention was the Bruce Lee slot game, featuring the famous action hero alongside his sidekicks, nunchucks, two different-sized reels, an RTP of 96.05%, up to 20 free spins, and 60 paylines to make your wins with.
Their licensing situation seems unclear for now, but as of today, they are still a part of Scientific Games, now known as Light and Wonder, and create games under their banner.
