With a decade of experience in the iGaming industry, Side City Studios boasts significant expertise in 3D production, including proprietary tools like a 3D character generator.
Known for their visually stunning games, the software provider excels in creating slots with captivating graphics and user-friendly interfaces. Their online casino games would be some of the first entries to use the Slotbuilder integration engine created for video slot games.
While Side City Studios has traditionally focused on providing slot machines to land-based casinos and creating CD Roms for prominent names like Disney, their acquisition in 2015 by the NYX Gaming Group gave them plenty of resources to focus completely on slot titles.
Games such as the Jolly’s Gifts online slot would be released soon afterwards, and the immediate bump in quality was noticeable. The game would come in a 5x4 grid with random wilds, up to 5 free spins, and symbols that paid up to 750x your bet.
Another entry that would be impressive for its time was the Wild Dodo slot game. It featured a familiar 5x3 grid with stacked wild reels, up to 3x multipliers, and a 10,000x max win. The 3D Dodo that accompanies you throughout the game is also the highlight, as the slot came out all the way back in 2017.
After being acquired by NYX Interactive, the software provider released games up to early 2018. After that, the entire group was acquired by Scientific Games, now known as Light and Wonder.
